Cycling in Phoenix is one of Danny Upshaw's favorite things to do. He is part of a large cycling community, and his photos capture their energy, favorite haunts, and fun moments. The wrinkled photographic prints are pasted on raw plywood to represent the imperfections of the urban core. The show also includes two wall murals -- one depicting a full-size bike lane which spills out onto the gallery floor, and another of several cyclists with the Westward Ho building in the background. The installation also includes a dreamy cycling video.
"Soft Spoke-n" runs April 21st through May 19th.
